I never knew that is where the term "mansfield bar" on a tractor trailer or truck comes from. I never even knew who she was. lol

Yup. After her accident the NTSB (or whatever it was called back then) passed a mandate that all commercial trucks needed to have a bumper or bar at a certain height from ground level.
I don't think she was decapitated but from pictures I've seen, you can definitely conclude she was "scalped".
Here's a pic of the car. You can see where the roof was sheared off from just above the dashboard...
