If examples where made in blatant situations such as these, the growing public perception of police corruption/incompetence would improve. I'm not holding my breath though.

Police need to learn that these days anything and everything they do can be filmed/recorded. Police departments that are pushing for cameras on all officers get a big plus in my book of showing they have nothing to hide.

This is a poor Parish with a high illiteracy rate and a good OL' boy system firmly entrenched.

That movie Walking Tall is not a far stretch in lots of places in this country.

Agreed that this isn't unusual in a lot of places. This is why I (generally a supporter of Law Enforcement) really believe that the state Attorney General's Office should have a unit that investigates and prosecutes ALL state, parish and local law enforcement for criminal matters. Agencies Internal Affairs units should be limited to policy violations. When criminal shite like this happens, the AG's Officer should come in swinging.

Law enforcement is FULL of sociopaths, they are the majority. The minority are the cowards who do nothing about it.

I figured you would be on here to defend this. Is the cop one of your hillbilly cousins?

Is it possible in this day and age to have this case proceed to court and then when the prosecution rests the defense just hits play on the video, drops the mic, and walks out? Like a modern day Perry Mason episode.

he is fired if he works for a good department. Apparently Washington Parish isn't a good place for good honest officers.

Holy sh*t! I went to middle/high school with this guy. He was a little b*tch back then so I can only imagine how he is now. What a sad, sad human.

And now it puts a smile on my face looking back at a party I was at with him. Chad walked outside of the house we were at and proceeded to get knocked the f out by someone. No warning, no argument, just punched right in the face. He got hit so hard his braces were stuck to his lip. I think I'll drink a beer to that image later tonight.

they all should be given at least a year in prison, everyone who lied. They almost cost someone their life. Behind a lie.

A completely fabricated lie that had no purpose. They gained nothing out of this and they weren't just exaggerating something. Several people in power were in cahoots to ruin this person's life using the law as a weapon just because they felt like it.

Its hard to grasp.

Well he should be more than fired. He should be face worse charges than a civilian because he/she is abusing the power of the state. That is a weapon civilians don't have.

Idiot...

You've never done cocaine?

You think it's ok to conspire against an innocent man in an effort to put him in jail for the rest of his life?

That's it?!? That would be his only punishment? You are talking about taking away years of someone's life and costing them thousands of dollars in fines/lawyer fees and this guy just gets fired?!?

I hope the AG of Louisianna throws the proverbial book at these lying arse clowns...and the judge that oversees the criminal charges lowers the boom with max sentences.
