Beware of this band. We contracted with them to perform at our reception and paid them 50% of their fee 11 months ahead of the date. Then Shaon Foster called and asked for the balance due 4 months ahead of the wedding date in which case she would discount the fee by $500. She said she needed money to buy lighting for the show. Against my gut feelings, we paid the balance. Six hours before the wedding time, Shaon texted me and stated her truck carrying the band's instruments had broken down on the way to Houston. She and the girl singers had continued on in another vehicle but she stated she had left her purse in the broken down vehicle. Shaon asked for $2000 cash to pay another band to back her up and promised to wire the funds to me on Monday after the wedding. I immediately felt this was a scam but had no other good options for music with such short notice on the day of the wedding! I rushed to the bank and got the cash. Shaon was contracted to play 4 hours and didn't even show up until an hour into the reception. The band only played about 1.75 hours and did not have the brides's requested play list, so none of the songs were played that were asked for. Her "shady" sound man would not even start playing until he had the cash in hand! The sound overall was not good. Shaon later said they had not played together in 10 years. Needless to say, I have NOT been paid the $2000. For about a week following the wedding, Shaon Foster assured me the money was coming offering several excuses such as she had to transfer money from savings, that wiring funds takes time, and that someone had used her debit card! I told her to tell me the truth at which time, I never heard back from her. I have left numerous messages on her phone and website with no reply from her. DO NOT USE HER! She in untruthful and lied over and over to me. She caused me much unnecessary stress on my daughter's wedding day and I don't want anyone else to go through this. Totally unprofessional. The venue was furious with her and has banned her from ever performing there again. If this post is still up, I have not been paid.
