Aren't there one or two sellers of Toyotas here? Got a question for you - 2016 Highlander - are there two different rear entertainment system options, one factory installed vs one port installed? Thanks in advance

Just did the build and price online, and I didn't even see one as an option on the Limited or Platinum trims. I would assume that it's a port or dealer installed option based on that.

Port installed option only. And only 1 rear entertainment (drop down), Sienna has 2 options

Just don't buy from the dealer in Hammond. I caught their service department trying to screw me.

They shrunk the Highlander. It looks stupid now.

What kind of wiggle room do dealers have on 4runners nowadays?

8-12% off list price (beware of the bump tag next to sticker).

That seems about right for Tacomas, too. Not nearly the 20%+ that some Ford and GM models drop from list to sale.

I doubt you would get that much off on a 4Runner.

You may be right - Edmunds suggests that it's closer to a 5% off MSRP. But, who knows how accurate TMV is anymore with internet sales, and such?

If you went right now and got one of the last 2016s without being picky - maybe you could get 8%. I think that 8 to 10 percent is about right for Tacomas, though. I could be wrong.

I think you would be lucky to get 5% off a 4Runner. At least here. Your market may be slightly different.

The most I have gotten anyone to agree to is about 4.5% on a limited. I found one in BR and told the guy that I would drive over there right now and buy it if we could agree on a price. He came off $700 and that's it.

I was a parts manager with Toyota until 2007 so I've been out of the game for quite some time now.

What I can say though is if you're given the option between a port or factory installed option or accessory ALWAYS choose the factory option. They will push the port option and most of the vehicles will have port options pre installed simply because of profit.

Port accessories are almost always inferior and are virtually obsolete after 3-5 years. Wheels, leather seats, running boards, etc... They're almost impossible to find replacement parts for after they're out of warranty...

With the high demand (flood), the dealer has the car you want, and right now they're getting top dollar. The dealer wants your business but will not bottom dollar a vehicle just to make a sale. Price LeBlanc has sold more than 200 cars in the last 3 days.

Coach, I'm in the market for a 2016 Sequoia this month. You seem to be the authority on Toyota, please let me know the best way to contact you outside TD.

I'm in Metairie and would like to avoid going to Houston to get a car if there are better local options in Louisiana.

Thanks. bnolan02 (@) gmail (dot) com

Yeah, for Toyota SUV's and truck, there aren't much of a discount.

I just purchased a 2016 4runner last week. Price Leblanc didn't give me the time of day (i have purchased 2 vehicles from them). Quoted me a joke of a price and said take it or leave it we have others that will pay it. So I took my business to herrin-gear toyota from jackson, ms. $1500 less than the best price from price.

Hate to hear they are crapping on long term customers just because things are good in the moment. Seems pretty short sighted.
