Insurance companies don’t report anything to carfax. Carfax pulls info from ISO - insurance companies can’t stop it. And just because you don’t report anything to Carfax doesn’t mean others don’t. How do you think Carfax knows that Bob gets his oil changed every 5,000 miles at the dealership? That’s not insurance or police.

If the other car left. Claim they caused the accident. They aren't there to refute. Then use your IM.
Also depends on damage. Less than a few grand won't hurt you.

If the person she hit left the scene chances are they had no valid driver's license and no insurance. They left for a reason.
