I'm torn between tin-cloth custom engraved Filson umbrellas and slate blue Hermés ties (which we will likely wear at the wedding).

Which would you gentlemen decide upongst?

No pics, I'm on the phone.

I'd make fun of the groom if he bought me an umbrella

Filson umbrellas? Hermes ties?

Does the store sell testosterone? If so buy all of it.

I would do the ties.

I love Filson, and have a good bit of gear. I just think there are certain things Filson makes that are somewhat impractical (largely because Filson doesn't use synthetic fabrics). The umbrellas are among them, but it would be a nice gift.

This made me throw up in my mouth. I'm assuming you never met your father and were raised by like twelve women.

You're wasting good advice. I think the OP would ruin scotch with grenadine and would try to vape the Cuban.

Hermes ties are the nicest ties in the world. If these baws are the type to appreciate a truly luxurious piece of haberdashery, then go with the ties.

Neither. I'd hate if I got either of those

At least I could sometimes use the umbrella though

Those are good gifts, not sure why you'd hate them.

Much prefer them to the commonly-discussed shitty flask someone gets engraved at the mall or the no-name pocket knife with my name on it.

I never use an umbrella except at the golf course but the Hermes tie would be a nice one to have around for the rare occasion I wear a tie.
