My "coming of age" time was the 90s.

That includes getting into the music that changed life, smoking pot, losing virginity, getting car, etc.

Purest forms of fun to look back on.

Things were still exciting. Hell, even when a band put an album out..it was still exciting. There was a fun in going out to physically buy it. Listening to each song and admiring the album art/themes. Digital conveniences kinda killed those thrills.

80's blew the 90's away and its not close. The music alone kicks the 90's arse.

don't go there. 60's and 70's will kick your musical arse. Beatles, Stones, Aretha, Bob Dylan, Hendriks

Man I got so high in the 90s.

Collecting early 90's basketball cards was also tGOAT at the time.

Crime was so fricking bad but we still jumped off the porch early and didn't give af.

Beepers with different color cases and a clear clip.

Nintendo was great.

But Snes and ps1 outweighed the awesome.

Not even close:
The 90's was insanely violent.
Rodney King riots
The rise of "zero tolerance" policies in schools
Serial killers and child molesters everywhere
We went from expecting kids to play outside all day all the time to arresting parents who let their kids go to the park by themselves.
Waco
Ugly, shitty cars
NAFTA
Repeal of Glass-Steagall
Political correctness taking over every aspect of kids' lives
Raising of the drinking age to 21
Systematic destruction of all "fun" as we became an increasingly litigious and "family friendly" society
Classic rock stations began replacing new rock stations
Rap and hip hop went mainstream and became shitty

The 90's were awful outside of some of the music (STP, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, TOTD, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Sublime, Alice in Chains, ect). Only the 2000s were worse.
