Can stress cause physical symptoms? I give you the premature atrial contraction.

Humans haven't adapted to deal with extended periods of medium/high stress, i.e. days/weeks

We evolved to deal with short periods of high stress i.e. caveman running and hiding from lion... once he got away, he chilled

Stress is a killer... I know, for me, it can exacerbate my health issues... migraines and vomiting

How could anyone say this with certainty? The above quote will be something humans read 500 years from now and think "wow they were retarded"

I was.

I'm not happy about it. But PACs are very common.

Stress can absolutely affect heart rate and rhythm. It is quite annoying. I recently worked a temporary job and had what I thought was bigeminy and pac's that made me feel faint with the pauses.

Evolution is science... all animals (caveman included) evolved to deal with short periods of high stress, i.e. trying not to become lunch...

Caveman didn't have to worry about anything except food, water, cavepussy and to not be eaten... our modern life has put all kinds of new stressors onto us in such a short period of time, we haven't evolved to deal with them yet

Oh yea, my doctor for my anxiety meds explained this to me, so I'll take his educated word on this matter

Evolution isn't "science". Evolution is scientifically based.

Stating stress coping mechanisms are the result of evolving from running from lions is a guess. It's not scientific.

Yes

Especially long term stress. Can cause all sorts of havock on your body including constant palpitations.

Not that simple. What the constant stress/fear of being invaded by a neighboring tribe or scarcity of food or other dangers?
