To do this, you need to understand how your doctor told you to take your U-500 shots, for instance, did the doctor do the math and give you a U-100 syringe and prescribe how much units to inject, but as measured on a U-100 syringe? Or did they just tell you how many units to take per gram carb and let you do the math yourself
This whole post is spot on. OP needs. To go read it and then re-read it.

I hope you can get it turned around. I know how difficult it is to live with because it doesn't take one minute off ever.

Are you sure you're not abusing steroids and insulin?

I was able to get my Primary Care Doctor to reinstate my U-500 insulin this morning. I will get lab work done today at 2:00 and promise to make and complete all of my scheduled appointments as directed.
I will start walking one mile per day and begin a lifting program at Anytime Fitness. I will increase my activity level and try to eat clean foods.
I have lost 11 pounds during the past 6 weeks but I have a long road ahead.

I’m sitting in the clinic waiting room waiting for the bloodwork to be done.

Good for you. My feet are my biggest worry. I have severe neuropathy and now have no feeing below my ankles. Blood flow is good.

Final update : I got my A1C test done yesterday and the result was 9.4 % which equates to a glucose average of around 223 mg/dl. Not good but will be making changes to my daily routine of eating and incorporating more exercise.

Better than I thought it would be based on your instant read over the weekend. Please let us know how you're doing. A lot of people are pulling for you.

I’m not going to go full OT on you here because I wish you the best. But you gotta have some better goals than this.

The daily walks will be good for your mind also. Evening walks are when I settle my mind and it allows me to relax afterwards. It's a great habit to incorporate into your daily routine. Good luck!

If you have neuropathy, have you tried the exercise bikes? Dont know if is better for sure, but might be able to do it longer and less weight on feet
