I got a buzz one night this week off 3 - 22 oz drafts at dinner. My wife wasn't happy when I handed her the keys.
She said the is no way you have a buzz when I watch you drink a liter on any given night.

The better question is why I get a splitting headache after 2 beer sometime? Can pound the liquor but beer wrecks my head sometimes after just a few.

Really I can only drink beer on an empty stomach. One I eat a meal and get full I'm done drinking for a while
Normally I'll have 4-5 in the afternoons when I get home and do work around the house before dark. One or two days a week I'll drink a 12 pack after work instead of eating dinner though.

I started drinking yesterday right after I got back to the camp from being in the deer stand, roughly 10:45-11am, I didn't stop until around midnight. I also never didn't have a beer in my hand. But, and this is the key, I didn't guzzle them down, I just drank em normal, probably 30-45 mins for each beer.
I remained the perfect amount of buzzed all day/night and never once felt drunk or bloated. I ate two sandwiches for dinner and had a steak for supper.

If you're drinking beer that's like 7-10% abv instead of the domestic light beer 4%, yeah you can get pretty drunk.

Regular ole Budweiser has an alcohol content of 5%, which is higher than many craft beers. Guinness stout has less alcohol than Bud.
I can eat a normal dinner and drink four Buds in two hours and be buzzed.
