Just remember that as soon as you buy it, basically the most you'll ever sell it for again is scrap prices.

Color? Also what grade is fsi2?

I always used blue Nile as a price comparison.

Also, just know that diamonds lose their value very quickly after the first purchase.

then you got ripped off on your diamond. If you buy retail you may never re couple you money but there are routes where diamonds are investments.

Yeah, but those routes usually involve slavery and severe human suffering.

Yea, but IMO the amount of blood and limbs lost is what brings value to the diamond.

nope nope nope nope
you forgot
you get your money on a trade up deal...you gets your 5k in credit towards a new rock for 10k

or if you get the rock back, you can change the setting

otherwise you are screwed...

I thought offering years of labor, protection, and providing was enough for marriage proposal.

I just paid $10k for a 1.6. Think it's about $7.5k per depending on the cut and all. The round will be more than the emerald or cushion because it goes against grains or something. Basically easier to cut the oblong shapes so get a nicer and bigger diamond for cheaper

I hope Paige doesn't find this thread. She'll lose her shite again and then retire from TD.

(Fingers crossed)

Having just gone through this process for something similar, I'd say around 13k.

If you don't have to get a round cut, you can get a better overall diamond for the same price in a different cut. Pretty sure round is the most expensive cut. Then princess. I went with a cushion cut, which is kinda a hybrid of the 2 above.

Good luck...and try not to cry when you realize you just spent 15k on something thats essentially useless
