The "perp's" defense is just gonna be that the guy threw a beer at his car, he got out to confront him, the belligerent guy attacked him, he fought back, and he left with the guy still awake. Maybe the idiot fell down and broke his neck after the fight.

I'm more bothered by the fact that NOPD took 45 minutes to respond and when they got there the victim was already at the hospital so they wrote it up as "unfounded"

Yet another mark against a town that thrives on tourism. One would think NOLA has enough to overcome without these little anecdotes of the local's fellowship with the cities visitors. Nothing says "Visit NOLA" like a good paralysis- inducing beating.

Some consider a 45 minute responds by NOPD to be very quick.
