The law that operated to impose this is a Federal Law dictating that children of a certain race will be raised by others of that race.

Folks, the Founders and Framers established a new Republic governed under a Constitution that LIMITED the central government to SPECIFICALLY ENUMERATED powers, function and authority. ALL other powers, functions and authority not specifically granted to the central FedGov are reserved to the individual states and to the We the People.

The federal law operating his this case is FAR outside of the specifically enumerated constitutional powers of the FedGov. But, We the People have allowed this to happen. We the People are to blame for unleashing the Federal Leviathan. So think about this as you consider this particular case.

The blame lies with We the People. We allowed FedGov to breach the firewalls containing its power, and now FedGov's power is UNLIMITED.

I'd lose my mind. Wow. This is the sort of thing you almost consider going on the lam over. It wouldn't help, but damn I would think about it. I hope the family has some legal options.

This. All I will say is there are many ways to get the daughter back.

In a place like California, I doubt it. Good luck adopting an American child of a different race. Usually, others within the system of the the same race of said child, won't allow it.

The system is fricked.

This. There are some good altruistic well meaning foster parents, but the vast majority are in it for the money. My wife worked for a brief time as a manager of a foster care office, and she quit because she could not take it anymore. People would take the money they were supposed to spend on the kids and spend it on other stuff, fake receipts, Abuse the kids, etc. pretty terrible system on the whole.
There are truly some shitty people in this world. My wife and I sat down and though long and hard on who would get our daughter in the event of our demise.

Normally the child's best interest is of paramount concern. Guess that doesn't apply here.

Congrats. That girl is probably going to be fricked up later in life.

That girl was in foster care, so I think that was pretty much a given.

Terrible application of the spirit of the law
The whole letter of the law thing is so dumb.

Just a little common sense is all it takes.

Foster parents have little rights or say in anything concerning the children. They are needed badly, but with all the heartache, why would anyone want to put themselves through this? Sad situation for everyone.

Sore subject for me. I first hand witnessed the pain and suffering my bil and sil endured at the hands of the state as they handed over the child they had raised from six weeks old back to her biological "mother" who was still failing her drug test, was not working, and all while her family accused her of prostituting to pay for her drug habit.

It was a secret to nobody that the mom wanted her back to get benefits from the state.

In a situation like this, I don't think "seeing the mother off", would cause me any grief.

People are getting shot if they try to take my future kids away from me. Not one, but everyone in the vicinity.

Now the girl is gonna end up being a completely dry dirt poor living in an old truck bed camper on the ground in the desert drunk woman. Feather Indians are, as a whole, the poorest demographic I have ever come into contact with. Only one out of an entire town has money, and he owns everything in the town. Everyone else is broke like no joke.

Yay government
