Apparently its pretty common across california - arrest someone and then browse their phone for nudes/revealing photos.
You gotta love the respect for the law that our police show.

At this point the assumption has to be that they are nothing more than a criminal wearing a badge when interacting with an leo.
Anything else would be as stupid as walking through crime riddled areas waving cash in the air.

Yeah, those cops are pieces of shite.
But everyone should have my mentality and assume that anything on your phone should be considered insecure and accessible to anybody that really wants to get it.

I don't know that its fair to generalize all LEO's as criminals protected by a badge but there is some element of this to be sure.
The problem I see with Law Enforcement is that at some point they transitioned from protecting the public to a becoming a revenue generator that many jurisdictions depend upon for survival. In other words, if X number of tickets and fines aren't assessed this person or that is out of a job or this agency is closed. This provides a coerce incentive for even the most trivial of offenses to be monetized and seen as an opportunity to raise revenue. This also leads to exploitation of good law abiding citizens.

So the majority of this board cheers on the fappening people stealing nudes of celebrities and couldn't wait to look at the pics but an officer looks at a girls phone and it's so unforgivable that he should be burned at the stake.
