It's fun watching a fresh college grad in the workplace. Idealism and textbook "knowledge" oozing out every pore. And then the transition occurs where the real world kicks them square in the nuts.

I hope that it's just a west coast thing. I've noticed a trend over the years with the latest crop of 20 something year olds that worries me. Patriotism and pride in America is not "cool". If you have pride in country and you are patriotic, you are labeled as a bigot and/or uneducated hick. As if those things are mutually inclusive.

I'm curious to see if anyone in the federal government the balls to try and cut their funding and student aid. Valuable lesson that while you have the right to do things like this, it's not without repurcussions.

Most of the State is somewhat conservative, geographically. Like most things, the vocal minority does stupid shite and most people don't care enough to challenge them.
