He was a lousy shot, I had to treat one of the good civilians he shot.

Agreed. I want to see frog gigs used like tridents between bass boats. And boarding parties in white shrimp boots.

Casting lures with treble hooks into other boats and reeling them close, then leaping over the sides with filet knives in their teeth.

Advocate online story. They interviewed they guy who was "shot at". His last name is Billiot. Now it turns out that he HEARD gunshots. So maybe he wasn't actually being shot at.

And maybe it wasn't gunshots. Maybe it was a transformer blowing, a Pontiac backfiring (they drive Pontiacs in those areas) or even Kibbles and Bits ripping a loud fart.

People are stupid.

They had some local news video yesterday filming the Cajun Navy, the reporter says ' Oh.look, they're sharing a water bottle'. They were taking rips from a vodka bottle.

It was a problem during the BR flood.

Lol these guys are great and all, but admiral?

Someone asked jokingly, "Who is admiral of the Cajun Navy?"

Jon Bridger runs Cajun Navy 2016 and Clyde Cain runs LA Cajun Navy. As we speak, I'm sure some other publicly hounds are setting up Cajun Navy 2017 and TX Cajun Navy.

I don't know either of these guys and I'm sure the have good intentions. However, it seems that Clyde liked the TV cameras at least as much as he likes fishing people off of roofs. He also seems to be inclined to a little hyperbole. I don't follow this guy, but he shows up on my FB feed. I've watched 3 snippets of his multiple FB Live posts.

In the first, he claimed they were being shot at and looters tried to "overcome" one of their boats. He said they pulled back to reassess their strategy. In the next post I saw, he claimed they were recovering bodies, plural. However, the official body count doesn't seem to have changed (2 or 3). The last video I saw was him standing under a building awning show rain falling in a parking lot "to give you some idea of the conditions we're dealing with." I think that if you drive into a hurricane, you should expect a little rain.

During the Amite River flood last year there was some "Cajun Navy" a-hole named Damien somebody. He looked like a fat Vin Diesel. This guy was a total attention whore and rumor monger. He was also calling himself "the Cajun Navy." He would go Live about every half hour, ranting about "people dying" and spewing more bullshite. A lot of people lap it right up. It does a disservice to the people who are actually out there helping.

Or it was gunshots, but it was somebody popping a water moccasin that decided to take a break on their back porch.

Were they both running US Navy ships in the South China Sea during the last couple of months?

He's not an admiral though. He's a guy with a bass boat.

If he identifies as admiral, then that's what he is and you must recognize him as such

Cajun Navy was interesting when it wasn't some official or unofficial organization, just people in boats who went to help...another good thing ruined.
