Our reporter stationed near the airport was more interested in charter buses.

8 would seem suspicious but I see them fly into Monroe on occasion.

Whole bunch of us at Exxon saw them landing and was surprised there was nothing here about it.

I just took a look at the BTR arrivals and there's a lot of unusual activity today, not sure if they're charters or military but it's from a bunch of smallish airports

A C130 can carry paks or cargo but not a tank. First an M1 Abrams won't actually fit in the door. Secondly a c130 can carry a little over 70,000 lbs....an Abrams tips the scale at about 120,000 lbs.

Interesting, they're not on the arrivals list on flightaware. I guess most of what I was looking at was charter flights, meaning there could be a shite ton more military planes at BTR currently than the 8 you saw come in earlier

You are assuming that these people know the difference between C-130's C-17's etc... C-17's definitely carry tanks.

Yeah, a C-130 ain't going to be able to do much with an Abrams.

I'll be flying the A-10 sim next Friday. Sounds like a good time.
