ROCHESTER — After going through the drive-through at Burger King Friday, a local woman discovered that instead of the sweet tea and junior spicy chicken sandwich that she ordered, she got a bag full of money.
Rather than keeping the cash — totaling $2,631 — she came back to the restaurant with her husband and returned it.
quote:
Jones called her husband, Matthew Jones, who suggested she come home so they could return the money together. At home, the couple inspected the bag and found the cash, most of which was inside two bank deposit bags. There was also a loose $100 bill.
Matthew Jones admitted, “We are not perfect human beings,” and said the couple had considered the possibility of keeping the money, adding they could have certainly used the cash. But he said he and his wife are Jehovah's Witnesses, and that “Jehovah sees everything.”

Looks like a drug deal and they gave the bag to the wrong person.

quote:This crossed my mind while reading the article. I can't see someone being that stupid and "accidently" giving away large bills at a fast-food restaurant.

Good for them...because they were going straight to jail if they didn't....if the store could prove they gave them that bag..which actually could be difficult

[quote]More than likely the manager put the deposit for the day in a carry out bag in preparation of walking out to go make the deposit. Me of the rocket scientists that works the counter grabbed the wrong bag for the drive thru order and didn't check the bag before handing it to the customer.
That's exactly the way you get fricked at the drive thru

Sounds like her husband wanted it to be known to the world that he is a good person.
What a douche.

bullshite, "oh sorry, I wasn't sure if I had ordered a spicy chicken or the 2600 dollar grab bag as I was picking between the two all the way here."

They look like Jehovah's Witnesses... Only thing missing is the Watchtower Magazine...

False, more like they wanted to think about what to do and had origibally leaned towards keeping it I imagine

Sounds like her husband wanted it to be known to the world that he is a good person.

bullshite. Fear of Jehova Claus seeing them is the only reason they went back on the decision to keep the cash. They then made sure the whole world (and Jehovah Claus) would see what good people they are.

Awesome, they returned the money and saved someone's job!
Then went public with the story making sure they'd get fired after all.
