Im saying boxing is like real life or death fighting like jousting is real life or death sword fighting. You dont win by killing or even really hurting your opponent but instead by making more "points". If a person was fast enough, they could be the best boxer in the world and not even hit hard enough to bruise anyone as long as they land the most punches

Lee has no experience in hand to hand . Lee is a lot of things. Legend, artist, philosopher. But he is not a FIGHTER.

wait....

I know Floyd has spent a life time perfecting the jab, sitting in the shell, uppercuts from the clinch, dirty boxing and head movement.

BUT does he know how to BE WATER!!!!! That could change everything.

Bruce Lee was an actor who grew up with a Wing Chun background.

Let me ask y'all this.. how many REAL fights have you seen Bruce Lee in?

I'll answer. Zero.

This is like asking who would win in a fight: Jackie Chan or Roy Jones Jr?

I feel like you're trying to say Bruce Lee is more prepared for a life or death battle than Floyd Mayweather. Is that correct?

Mayweather is a professional boxer and is one of the greatest of all time. He has actually fought for a living. He would absolutely destroy Bruce Lee. A better question would be Chuck Norris, who was actually a badass in real life, but even that would be absurd. I think a lot of people have no idea how technically skilled professional boxers are when it comes to MMA guys. The gap is severe.

I'm saying in a street fight where they are similar size I would always pick a person who has a lifetime of experience in hand to hand. Lee would be better suited to snap limb and fingers put a move that Floyd couldn't escape and that's the goal in the street fight. You do what it takesays to win. Floyd has the punches which doesn't go far in a brawl unless you get the first shot.

So in this hypothetical situation are you saying the Lee would be able to do whatever it takes to win in a street fight; BUT Mayweather would have to stick to the strict rules of boxing?

Yeah, that argument never made any sense to me. As if the boxer incapable of doing anything dirty.

And as if the other guy knows the perfect technique for ripping someone's cock off without getting knocked out against a professional fighter.

Do you think these people just appear out of thin air? How do you think they got to where they are? Just because they followed the path that paid them the most doesn't mean theyes would fold in a fight. Chan would kick your head off in a real fight and so would Lee. They are faster, stronger, and know more about joint manipulation than the common man. Steven Segal is an actor and has trained with some of the best MMA fighters in the world. Have you ever seen him in a fight though? No. In his prime would he snap your wrists in a fight? Yes!

You clearly don't know shite about what it takes to be a boxer, let alone a professional, let alone one of the greatest to ever live. Take the baddest dude that you know, and Floyd would destroy him in a matter of seconds without breaking a sweat.

It's hilarious how much people are underestimating the raw speed & power that boxers possess. Maybe when Floyd destroys Conor, it will become more apparent.

I think he could be but I just don't think he worries as much about being in the situation. He has body guards for that. But most people like martial artist study those moves. And if you are at a level that Lee is at then I probably wouldn't want to find out what they are capable of in a street fight. It doesn't take much pressure to snap joints and I just think in a street fight he would be more mindful of that. I think Floyd would concern himself with trying to land closed fist punches. Personally nobody know but it's just a hunch.

I guess so. Im trying to say Bruce Lee is more prepared for a bare knuckle, no holds bar fight than Mayweather is based on their expertise.

Except FMJ doesnt have to "find out" he's been in like 70 fights. Being in fights is a skill BL doesnt have.

Lol, let me break his down point by point.

Bruce Lee was a child actor in Hong Kong and he got gigs because his dad was a well-known opera singer. He also was a martial artist.

When he came to America, he studied drama in school and he was able to land a role as Kato on the Green Hornet.

He used his martial arts as part of his acting persona. He didn't become famous BECAUSE he was such a great martial artist.

I don't know as much about Jackie Chan, but he was a stunt man and an actor I'm pretty sure, and it was because of his martial arts stunts that he became famous. Not for being a fighter.

And as for Steven Segal, MMA fighters like Anderson Silva trained with him as a publicity stunt. He wasn't serious about the training. Steven Segal is trained in "aikido". Go look up YouTube videos of his demonstrations. It's a crock of bullshite.

What expertise does Bruce Lee have? He's not an actual fighter. He trained and taught martial arts. That's it.

Mayweather, on the other hand, has been actually fighting since he was a child.

When it comes to actual combat experience, it's not even a debate.

Bruce Lee rarely fought in sanctioned fights or tournaments. This does not mean he never fought. He left Hong Kong because he was getting into street fights with triad gang members and his family feared for his life. He has experience.

Anyone who references Steven Seagal as being part of the MMA world is immediately suspect.

Seagal tried that mystic aikido nonsense on Gene Lebell and got choked until he shite in his pants.
