I should add that I also took extra calcium supplements the first 2-3 weeks, 500mg daily. No idea if that helped but I figured it wouldn't hurt.

Wtf will help ease the pain and how long of a recovery for you?

I had all my ribs broke last November. Oxy is effective at easing the pain. As for how long to recover, you're looking at at least six months to fully heal and recover. Even now I feel it when I take in a really deep breath or sneeze.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Just cancelled my flight and decided to stay in bed and make my wife take care of me.

That reminds me of a story from a couple years ago. I was bringing hay to one of our bulls and as I got closer to him I saw him jogging around in a circle shaking his head and then he wrecked the shite out of the pipe ring that we put the hay in. As I got closer to him wondering what the hell he as doing he stuck his head in the ring and threw it about 15 feet in the air, then ran through the round bale of hay that had been in it. Then he kept running in circles, then attached the pipe ring again. I set the bale down and was backing tractor up when all the sudden the cab was attached by hundreds of yellow jackets. Then I realized that they were stinging the bull and that was why he as so pissed off.

But when he tossed that ring into the air it was a sight to see. The ring probably weighs 300-350 pounds and he tossed it around like it was nothing.

Purchase some Thermacare wraps from any pharmacy. Use the Thermacare wraps and take 800 mg of ibuprofen plus two Tylenol.

What'd you do wrong to make your boyfriend do this to you? You get pregnant?

"Decided to stay in bed and make my wife take care of me"

I've had ribs broken on several occasions. My wife broke one AND had a cough while 8mos pregnant with our first.

I kept my mouth shut.
