British University bans words/terms, creates list of alternatives instead

A British University released a list of banned words yesterday. A list that would cause me to drop out of this university, had I attended.

Lecturers of Cardiff Metropolitan University were mainly banned from “gendered language” in a recent update, and says that “politically correct” alternatives should be used in order to “promote an atmosphere in which all students and staff feel valued”.

The rules are presented in the ‘Equal Opportunities Policy’, which warns disciplinary action will be taken if broken.
