not a big fan of London…was there 5 nights and had fun but wouldn't return

Curious as to why you wouldn't. I spent a week there and felt like I could probably spend a month easily.

Does anyone know anything about B.A. possibly flying from Nola to London nonstop? Heard Corey Johnson talking about it this afternoon.Only caught the tale end of the conversation, so not sure if this was about something new or old and did not work out??

You mean Kaaaaaaaaaaaare Johnson?
BA is going to have a warning on the inbound flights to MSY:
"Avoid New Orleans East, the home of no good restaurants."

I'd love the flight but I doubt there's enough potential uplift to to support it.

London is a great city of the World. Expensive and a great place to visit or live.

I thought BA was great when we flew b/w Scotland/London/Ireland. Definitely a step up from most American carriers. If they flew to MSY, that'd be huge for NOLA.

Understand that these things are government controlled and other carriers are probably not fans.

But great if it happens.

Personally I felt like London was a British version of NYC. Was cool to be there, but I could get big city life back in the US.

The beauty is the data is there to see how many people are flying from England with their final stop in MSY. They wouldn't even be considering it if the numbers weren't strong enough on connecting traffic.

That's great to hear, and that data should tell the tale. I've made stopovers both ways before going to International destinations that might escape the algorithms they use. As in, if I'm in Las Vegas, going on to Cabo or in Boston, going on to Ireland or the UK because it's a good bit closer and setting up the multi-city itinerary is really a bargain in both money and schedule.

I never got the hatred or just ambivalence by some Americans for London.

The single biggest negative is that is expensive, but there are work-arounds to a decent extent for this issue. You don't have to stay at the Ritz (but it's wonderful....).

All First World Capital cities are expensive, try Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, etc.

Plays, culture, museums, historical sights, shopping, sport, eating, sightseeing all in a walkable and tube-able setting? With no language barrier? No violent crime issues there either.

All day, London. March through October.

Just no, the weather is absolute shite for 11 months and 29 days a year. No one is really sure about the two good days but all remember they always occurred a few months ago.
