no clue why pan's labyrinth was my example of a cinematic masterpiece, but that's what popped in my head

My friends and I would just pay somebody's older brother/sister to buy us tickets.

I remember watching revenge of the nerds with my parents as a kid. I think it was the first time I saw a pair of titties.

Same here, but they were sitting right next to me. Was uncomfortable as hell at times.

We watched all of the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm street movies when I was a kid as well(like 8-9). Also saw Porky's and Revenge of the Nerds. But...never watched any R rated movies at the movie theater as a kid...these were always movies my dad rented and watched at home.

Please tell me that you don't have kids.... Because you are a fricking idiot.

3.

It's crazy how all 3 turned out to be responsible adults with college degrees and jobs and one even manage to have a kid of her own after she got married.

Hide your kid from the world and you raise a frick up. Expose them to the world and they can handle it.

if you're talking about a great film (like pan's labyrinth) or one that was socially/historically significant (like saving private ryan) then you have a point. but if you're talking about deadpool? no

Actually yeah.

See I actually sat down with my kids and talked to them as they were growing up.

Explained how the world worked. How profanity only has the power you give it.

How to ignore bullys and trolls that they encounter thus stripping them of their power.

shrug...my 3 turned out pretty good.

I heard people cuss in the movies all the time. Heard relatives and other grown ups cuss all around me.

Was taught as a child those were "grown up" words and that I would be spanked if my parents ever heard or were told that I had said those words out loud.

Never dreamed of saying a cuss word(not even "bitch" or "arse") as a child.

Please tell me what movies helped raise your children? Please explain to me what, in the movie Deadpool, was something that you feel kids under ten should be exposed that will help them traverse this world?

It's trashy. On the same level as bringing home a boyfriend/girlfriend and sleeping with them with kids in the house

A friend of my parents who asked me to call him Uncle took me to see Between Black Buns at the Regina when I was about 11. Not sure what the problem is. I was just glad to spend some time with him before he went to prison.

Hell, there are a lot of shows on regular TV these days that should be rated R.

Because at 10 years old he has probably heard every cuss word in the book, seen plenty violence on TV and video games, and if he has access to a computer probably seen a pair of tits already. It wont harm him in any way. In fact he might have questions afterwards

About a year ago my oldest son walks by myself and my Gf watching "wolf on wallstreet". We had never seen it. His first comment was man that was a good movie and told us how all his high school buddies loved it. About that time Leo starts snorting coke of that girls bong hole. Oldest son exits with a quickness I howler out "WELL I CAN SEE WHY YOU GUYS LIKED THIS ONE!".
