Did not know that. WCW circa 99-01 was the last time period that I watched. Started off so good but turned into such a clusterfrick. I always blamed Russo but thought bischoff had a lot to do with it too.

Thanks. Some of these douchebags are too cool to type out a couple of sentences.

These are feuds basically longer than star wars. Lots of drugs, greed, lies and backstabbing involed. Then there is even debate if what happened between Shawn and Bret in Montreal was a work, that is still held up to this day.for Vince to have an inside man in wcw.

If I were to write it out, you'd be writing "TLDR" instead.

One of the funny things about the Bret-HBK rivalry is that as much as they wanted to be the top WWF guy, both of them leaving WWF ( Bret to WCW, HBK due to his back) helped WWF beat WCW IMO

One thing i give to russo is that he gave mid-carders the chance to move up (ex: booker t, kidman), while Bischoff had the same handful winning titles over and over and over, while it was old.

Arquette winning the title was the end.

Can't blame him. Solid all around grappler. He lives his gimmick bc they are one in the same. That's real wrestling. I think his old man stu competed in the Olympics and had his own promotion.

Him, Leno and the fingerpoke of doom.

Not to mention Eric trying to have all kinds of celebrities be involved. It got away from him. the wrestling was secondary to the cheap pops. Totally lost his focus. the nwo was beyond played out and the other main draw was Goldberg, and with his loss and the events that followed..

Was basically like they suicided.

Just the fact that every Nitro would end with the NWO running in and beating up the non-NWO guy in the main event got boring fast.

Uh no I wouldn't.

What's the best documentary to watch on this stuff, if there is one? I'm weirdly fascinated by it even years later.

WWE has put out a lot of great documentaries. You might want to check out the Rise and Fall of WCW or The Monday Night Wars.

I like the death of wcw dvd. I wouldn't exactly call it a documentary bc I think wwe put it out. But it gives good insight. I think it could have been a longer show and it should have gone into more detail about Vince being on wcw/nwa.

Sorry I got the name wrong. I think death of wcw was a book title though
