Place to rent Kayaks and paddle boats and have events...there's one near Dumas and Clark parks that does well.

Howell attracted the fewest golfers and generated the least amount of revenue from BREC’s seven courses.
an ak-47 in your golf bag leaves little room for clubs..i can see why other courses are more popular.

I enjoy a round of golf as much as the next guy, but McKnight nailed it with that statement, imo. Howell was a POS course anyways. Screw that damn concrete canal that would bounce your balls every which way.

Yeah, but you know they won't. It's gonna suck.

Why does this image show up when I Google "Howell Park Golf Court"?

If they do it right, this could be a pretty good wedding venue or concert/festival grounds

You do realize this place is surrounded by some of the highest murder rates in the city, right? 70805 wouldn't be on the short list for concerts and festivals.

There is nothing better in the sport of golf than watch the ball hit the far side of the canal, bounce back to the near side of the canal, and then shoot out an onto the fairway.

I had a good laugh with this statement

quote:

How can you compare an average number of golfers to a arbitrary number of 3,000 people?

The new park will be crime-ridden in no time. The second coming of Scotlandville Parkway.

30 and 3000 are just made up numbers. What she is saying is that a park with multiple flexible programs can provide more for the community than a park with a single fixed program.
