Brake rotor replacement

I bought replacement brake rotors for my truck and it is becoming too big of a job for me to tackle. Every shop I call says they will not put on any parts that I bring in myself. Is there any shop in the New Orleans area that will do this? Also when removing a tire 2 of the lug nuts popped off so I need to get this done ASAP.
Thanks for the help OT.

Where are you stuck. Brake rotors are fairly straightforward for most vehicles.

It's a 2002 Lexus LX 470. I've been rebuilding it since it was not in the best shape. Whoever put the drivers side back tire on did a terrific me job and they were both bent. I was as gentle as possible but they snapped off with barely any force applied to them.

I would suggest youtubing it - I use to replace them myself back in 70's and 80's before becoming ot rich - I keed - check out youtube - if you have regular had tools you should be able to do it - removing the hub and replacing bolts is not that hard of a job. I am sure there will be some OT mechanics in here shortly to help you.

We can talk you through this.
Are you outside by the vehicle?

what part of the brake job are you having difficulties with?

Have you put the rotors on yet? Could you not just bring them back to the place you purchased them from?
Do you know any firemen in NOFD? Several of them fix cars on their off days. My FIL is retired NOFD and also a mechanic but he only works on family and friends cars now. 95 percent of the work on cars, I do with him. For the other 5 percent that is too complex, there is a fireman we use in Lakeview. I just called him and he said he can't take on any more work.

No... not sure if I should name his name on here.

Post a picture of where you are stuck. Fairly easy job however previous owners or the shape of the car can dictate difficulty.

some rear calipers need a special service tool that turns the caliper piston as it's depressed back into the caliper. That's why i'm asking him what part of the brake job he's having troubles with.

are the lugs attached to the rotors or are the rotors free floating?

Sounds like someone got too trigger happy with their new impact gun. I had a tech do that on my old Tacoma, and I had to beat out the old studs and press new ones in

I got pretty good at it, they seemed to break off on my old Ram a lot. I would bang them out with a maul and a punch and then put the new ones in with washers and a lug nut.
