This is more than mere speculation. It's a statement put out as fact, which you have nothing to base it on.

I'm not condoning what he did in sending the video, but let's stick to what he is actually charged with instead of made up nonsense.

Thats a bunch of BS. Your relative is either ignorant or lying out their arse. I had a long discussion with a defense attorney who had a client in his 50s who downloads mature porn yet had one file suspected child porn file that was downloaded. The file was deleted yet he was charged and will get at least 2 years plus all the associated registration. He also had another client with similar circumstances. Worst was that every time I talk to a defense attorney they have the same stories. They do not verify accidental versus intentional. They always refer back to the law saying possession and naturally since, no one took a hammer and chisel onto a stone tablet to verify accidental versus intentional, they do not care.

The attorney in question has a long standing working relationship as a lobbyist working for the alcohol lobby and others with an interest in the industry within the state.

Troy Hebert was Jindal's choice to replace Murphy Painter after Painter was removed from office. There's a lot of smoke around Hebert for his time running the ATC during the Jindal administration.

There have been plenty of innocent borderline innocent people that have been dragged through the mud by these people. I know a guy who was looking at serious charges that were dismissed by the district attorney.

So your blanket statement there is pretty much bullshite.

In an unprecedented move, Hebert, who had zero experience as an investigator, decided he would be the lead investigator of the Bulldog.

What possible motive would Hebert have in rushing through an investigation and issuing a press release on Feb. 9 absolving the bar of any responsibility? Why would he instruct the lead agent on the case to limit his report to one page?

Why would Hebert watch the video footage for only a few seconds before proclaiming he “saw nothing” there? Why not watch the entire video to see if Branch did, in fact, appear intoxicated?

Even more curious, why would Hebert instruct that same agent to return to The Bulldog and retrieve the subpoena the agent had served on the establishment for video and records, thus freeing the bar of any responsibility to turn over key records?

Is it possible that the answer to each of these questions can consist of two words?

Might those two words be Chris Young?

Chris Young was the legal counsel for The Bulldog prior to and throughout the ATC investigation.
