I wonder if orgs will be allowed to ignore? Or just have girls and boys only patrols within an individual charter. Perhaps instead of forcing Boy Scouts to change how about girl scouts just fix their own shite?
I was already on the fence with my son crossing over. He's become bored with scouts, but this will just keep me from pursuing beyond cub scouts.

Today's "boy" scouts is a shell if what it once was. Back in the day, scouting was considered a normal choice for a kid. Now it's more akin to the island of misfit toys at the north pole.

when i was a girl scout, i was okay with it being separate. what i wanted was to get the same badges and cool outdoor knowledge and experiences that the boy scouts got.
instead, we were just little cookie pushers.

You can blame your leadership for that.
Girl Scouts can camp and do fun shite other than push cookies if they want, but the generally don't

As an eagle scout, cool, the program is good for anyone that wants to get something out of it.
As a guy who went through the BSA equivalent of Animal House, I dunno.
But there's other coed programs so it's not like it hasn't been trialed out.
