So you'd honor your brave son, that handled death with grace and strength, by killing yourself?
Yes. If I lost my little man, I admit I would never be strong enough to move on. It would be too much.

Damn. Someone couldn't handle this thread and downvoted everything.
Sad. But more than the sadness, there's so much love there. That letter is a hug he left behind.

Probably that son of a bitch LucasP.
Wow, my iPhone recognizes "LucasP" as a real word now. Maybe I have a problem.

How did that note make it to the fridge?

Was on the table. But God works in mysterious ways.

I read this thread yesterday, teared up, and when I went home I focused on my kids more than ever. I promised myself I wouldn't open this thread again just because it's so heavy...yet here I am early the next morning posting in this fricking thread.
frick!

how someone copes with the loss of a child is beyond me. I can't even imagine.

Most heartbreaking thing I've ever read. I cried like a baby when I read this yesterday. My son looks a lot like this little boy. Last night I laid in his bed with him, said our prayers, and held him in my arms until he fell asleep.
Today I've thought about this story on and off, and there's nothing I can think of that makes it any better or less sad. It's just pure desperate, heart-wrenching sadness. And I didn't even know the kid. It just struck a chord. I don't know how to cope with something like this.

This is such a horrible and sad story.
Words cannot express how devastating this would be for any parent.

Can't even imagine their pain. The child's act of remembering his parents.

Im done with the internet for tonight, I literally died inside seeing this. God bless that family. At least the boy is in heaven now not in pain anymore.
