My three year old GE dishwasher racks came apart and finally bit the dust. I'm looking at replacing it with a Bosch or Kitchenaid,Whirlpool,Maytag. It looks like it's a toss up with reviews although the Maytag caught my eye for a 10 year warranty. Anyone bought a new dishwasher lately?

They’re all made in the same 4 or 5 plants in Mexico.

Love our Bosch but it's so quiet you have to look at light indicator to see if it's running. Will buy another when it's time

Whirlpool

Made in USA...cheaper and just as quiet as either of those brands.

We have had bosch dishwashers for about 20 years now, the current one is about 5 years old. Super quiet and works great.

Bosch owner here, its quite and cleans well but hate hate hate how the racks are laid out. Who ever designed the spacing and configuration for loading the SOB has never actually owned dishware / cookware. I bought the damn thing without seeing a floor model. Never again. frick whoever designed piece of shite dishwasher.

Whatever the Home Depot has for scratch and dent sale. It doesn’t matter.

We bought this kitchenaid about a year ago

LINK

It was the quietest one on the market at the time, has excellent rails for the drawers and has a third shelf at the top for long flat items. All the buttons are at the top where they are hidden once the door is closed.

You can literally stand right next to it and not hear it running.

+1 for the KA

FYI, this one is very similar and more expensive and is actually louder. So be aware of the db level when you are looking at these.

I've had Bosch and currently have Kitchenaid. Love the Kitchenaid. I'm not sure why, but the Bosch had a sour smell to it most of the time. It also didn't do well drying the dishes. The Kitchenaid is quiet, doesn't have a smell and dries very well!!

I had a Bosch dishwasher. Thought it was pretty damn good and super quiet.

Then we renovated our kitchen and installed KitchenAid appliances. Fist time I ran the dishwasher I had to double check that it was actually working.

My whirlpool works fine. Save the money. It’s a dishwasher. No one impresses their friends by spending too much on a dishwasher.

We have a KA. It's very quiet.

I hate the touchpad though. It's very sleek and not hideous like those old laminated soft button ones, but it went bad after like 2 months. KA replaced it no problem (and it was actually pretty getting them to come out).

The new one is still a little finicky, but maybe I'm babying it hoping it won't break again.
