First off we do have promising early treatment options that our governmnet is trying to ban and has been successful with banning ivermectin. So the whole trust the government is already out the window.

Second, these vaccines dont work. And covid is spread to animals. So even if these vaccines worked and you somehow got 7 billion people vaccinated, the animals are still carrying it.

I agree.

Well, I'm not anti-vax, I'm fully vaccinated. Just saying they aren't done with vaccines yet.

Do you think science can be bought and sold?

I would bet that OMNICRON IS the booster. A fast spreading, low- mortality variant that spreads like lightning through humanity and gets us closer to some variation of herd immunity. The vaccines, and the feeble immunity they offer likely just make it more likely you get Omicron. Herd immunity either way- naturally or through really shitty public health decrees offered by really shitty health officials with a profit motive to have you taking boosters like a moron.

Yes.

I've been saying from the beginning, regardless of vaxx status, everyone has to catch this virus until the pandemic ends. The fact that Omicron is relatively virulent and mild is very good news.

With that said, I would recommend that if you have any family members that have poor overall health status prepare ahead of time for monoclonals, specifically sotrovimab. Find a health center that provides them. People with poor health may not be strong enough to fight Omicron alone.

I remember when a vaccine prevented CONTRACTING an illness. Stuff that reduced symptom severity was called therapeutic MEDICATION.

No Booster = not vaxxed

This is a pandemic of the unvaxxed - you will face a future of misery and death.

I feel like the vaccine messed with me in subtle, lingering ways. Of course that'll never be studied. The experts are too busy running cost/benefit analyses on banning menthol cigarettes and installing artificial wombs in chimps they probably have sex with.

omicron is more virulent than the initial OG strain + more contagious than delta.

the fact that it rapidly evolved to escape immunity is not a great sign

its pretty amusing though, all the typical midwit plebs are calling this variant "mild" - when its actually not at all.

so its more contagious and we have more hospitalizations, still tbd if deaths lag but using south africa as a case study was beyond low iq
