Black Woman Says Flight Crew Refused to Believe She Was a Doctor

Cross, who lives and practices as an ob-gyn in Houston and had been in Detroit to attend a wedding, posted a lengthy Facebook post about the upsetting encounter.

Why is a person from Houston flying Delta? United would have been much cheaper and a direct flight.

sadly, half the world will believe this is what happened.
Perhaps the airline has a policy? Tamika tries to help, man dies,,,,, then what?
Of course - anytime something non-positive happens to a POC --- there can only be ONE REASON... just one.
right? I truly wish that perception WAS NOT ACTUALLY REALITY.....
because the perpetually offended "perceive" injustices perpetually, reality not required.

And the assumption the people make in the medical field isn't race related. It is gender related.
Every female physician is believed to be a nurse until proven otherwise.

Doesn't matter as much when you're flying into a hub. Plus she didn't even get a direct flight. Originating out of a hub is cheaper.
