I just listen to a lot of different music. Make frequent stops if I feel like it. Sing loud in the car to my guilty pleasure music (NKOTB). Talk to friends on the phone (hands free of course). Have a cooler in the front seat with red bulls and water and lots of snacks I can easily eat while driving.
Did that on the 23 hour drive from BR to PHX by myself

Ahhh. Nevermind. I guess a chick would have never driven 21 hours straight alone like I did.

Start with Game of Thrones. Long book, long ride.

Leave early... like at 5 or 6 in the morning when the sun comes up.
As a person who has to make a lot of long road trips, I feel that time goes by much quicker on long drives if you leave early instead of in the afternoon.

Normally I would, but I'm moving so the car has to get there somehow.
Gotcha. Joe Rogan actually has some VERY entertaining podcasts and they are like 2 hours each. If you download a few of those it will help the trip go by faster. I hope you have a safe move! BTW....where are you moving to?

One time I drove from Las Vegas to Fort Worth... 15 hour drive with an overnight stop in Albuquerque. What I did was each hour, take a video on my phone video camera of where I was at and what I was doing. It seemed like that hour came around every 15 minutes.
Drove from Fort Worth to Denver with an overnight stop in Amarillo, and listened to the local public radio stations the entire way. I hate NPR and public radio but its different when you are making a long drive.
But the worst thing you can do is drive more than 8 or 9 hours at a time. Anything more than that and its a grind. Always divide the length of your trip by 8 or 9 and round up. That is how many days you should drive, find places to stop and sleep overnight on the way. And don't make a lot of stops on the way. Only stop for gas.
For example... when I drove from Fort Worth to Los Angeles. 21-22 hour drive... divided by 9, its a 3 day trip. Therefore I stopped in Albuquerque and Phoenix on the way.
Made the mistake of driving Fort Worth-Jacksonville all in one 16 hour go. Never again. Learned my lesson and stopped in Mobile on the way back.

I'm moving to Chicago actually. They're expecting 5-10 inches of snow over the next 36 hours Fortunately, everything looks to be clear on Friday.
Since a lot of yall have mentioned audiobooks, does anyone have any in particular that they recommend?

You are moving at a SHITTY time of year but its a very cool city!!! If you are gonna listen to a book try to find a really good thriller so it keeps you awake! You can probably get a free book or trial with audible.com if you search for it.
