Too many neighborhoods close by to do it any other way than a shotgun if I called them. Was thinking about poison.
They just killed the best cat we ever had after killing three others this year and apparently have been killing all the cats in the area.
So suggestions? Would be hard to get them up close with the shotgun out here and I know poisoning them is harder than it sounds. Thinking maybe traps. I just don't want to get anybody's dogs when I do this and I can't get caught doing it. But me and this pack are about to go to blows.

if i were you i would just shoot them, but if you dont want to risk getting caught just call local law enforcement and they will tell you the best route, also i would say you think they are a threat to local children
Will you be shooting them as a "target of opportunity" or calling them up w/ a predator/varmint call of some sort? Either way, shotguns are pretty loud. If noise is a very real concern, the coyotes will be close (inside 50 yards) and you're a good shot, consider using a rifle in 22 LR. You can even get "subsonic" rounds that will be a little more quiet than regular 22 LR rounds. If you're going to try to call them in, I'd recommend a novice look at some of the electronic calls.

well in most places you are allowed to kill coyotes out of season if they pose a threat to people or pets. of course if this guy lives in city limits he wont be able to use a gun.
