"Memorial Day we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Veteran's Day we honor those who came home."

Great reminder to those who don't know or really care, seeing this holiday as just another 3 day weekend for getting drunk, buying mattresses, or some other nonsense. Thank you.

Ha, I used to be in that situation. Worked for a Govt Contractor, and we didn't get Veteran's Day off. All the folks in the military that we contracted with were off, obviously, but nope. Whole office full of people and we couldn't get much done in the way of the projects because no one in DC was there for approvals or changes.
Now I work for a Bank and get tons of holidays.

Veteran's Day was actually kinda fun, I was a passive-aggressive little bitch about it all day. Every conversation I would somehow work in the fact that I was a veteran.
