2013 Tacoma TRD 4x4 with 190k miles. No issues whatsoever and i drive it hard as it’s a farm truck and we went through 2 hurricanes. Guy offered me 13k for it last week. Bought it for 30k in 2014. Guy said he could get much more at auction.

That 4.0l likely runs like the day it was made.

As for the titan having a lifespan of 140k...that has nothing to do eith the truck and everything to do with the average buyer

The block in the titan for example is made with tolerances more strict than ANY other US V8 made. The allowed variations for the blocks selected for use in NASCAR wouldn't make it past inspections at the nissan plant. And to be fair... Both the GM 6.2 and the Coyote are some of the finest engines anyone has ever mass produced.

The only people hating the Frontier are the Tacoma fanboys. If I was to buy new in 2024 I’ll take the Frontier over the new redesigned Tacoma

I don't ever recall seeing a set of truck nuts on a Honda Ridgeline. This cannot be a truck and most mentioned as the winners in this thread are neutered trucks.

how is the average of the GMC 10% less than the chevy when they are essentially the same vehicle? Premium features killing the longevity?

I have a 2013 Tundra with a 5.7 V8

It has 220k miles and I have ONLY changed the oil.

Best vehicle I have ever owned.

Virtually the same thing here. Mine is a 2013 Platinum with a shade under 200 and I pull a boat a good bit. Nothing but maintenance items (and I suck at that). It is a rather small thing, but love to open the sun roof, all the side windows and the back window on a nice day. Closest thing to a convertible truck.

Ridgeline is a modified Odyssey. Not a truck.

Exactly

Not everyone needs 400HP and a 6.5 ft truck bed. I just recently traded my 2021 Silverado 2500 for a Ridgeline and couldn’t be happier. Sold my hunting property and didn’t need to be able to pull a 29 ft trailer with tractor and SxS.

How’s the rest of the transition going?

I feel bad. Traded in my 2016 Tacoma yesterday and got a F150 4x4. Loved the Tacoma, but just got tired of the cramped space after 5 years and being limited in bed space. Surprised I made it that long as a commercial GC without being able to haul drywall.

Here's to another 5 years with the Ford.

I've got one with 187,000 miles on it. Have always kept up with the maintenance and hoping to get it to 225k.

Once it comes to end, will likely go with Tacoma.

Guess not. I’ve had to put three transmissions in GMCs in the last 10 years. Simple Google search will show your vehicles are an anomaly. If you want proof, the next time you are near a transmission shop, stop and ask them what keeps them the busiest. Almost invariably they will say GMs are what keeps them in business, followed by Nissan.

I'm a big Toyota fan and my Tundra is a 2012 with 225k on it. When/if I upgrade it will be to a lower mileage 2018 tundra.

A frontier should last past 144k miles.

It’s an average. An owner that avoids accidents, takes exceptional care of their vehicle and doesn’t live in the rust belt will do better.

A big part of keeping a truck past 150,000 miles is availability of cheap parts and body components. Accidents happen and expensive parts can total a truck and end it’s life. So the Tacoma, Silverado and F-150 are going to have a huge advantage because there are so many of them around. It’s fairly cheap to repair a fender bender or replace a major component on them if they do go out. Not the same story on a BMW or Mercedes-Benz.

The new gmc canyon is bigger than a 95 full size truck

More power in todays canyon too

I guess everyone in the 90s was a sissy?

I like the new Canyon and the full array of 1995 domestic full sized trucks. Perfect size for most people.

I like the new Maverick too but I guess it’s not really a truck so the OT wouldn’t approve.
