The GM vehicles must be omitting the multiple transmissions you’ll have to buy to get to that level.

I have a 2012 Tacoma 4x4 with 236K miles. She's been a fantastic truck but has been throwing a few codes that point towards fuel injectors, a mass air flow sensor, and possibly a new fuel pump.

I'm trying to talk myself in to a 2021 Tundra Limited 4x4 but 38K is a lot after not having a note for 5 years.

Find you a good indy mechanic and he can have that Tacoma running like a top again for $1500. Beats forking out $38K.

Your money though baw.

I'm a Toyota guy, but I will give props to Ram. They have come light years over the past 15 years or so. I rented a basically new (under 3500 miles) Ram in 2012 and I can still recall it being one of the nicest vehicles I had ever driven.

These new tundras and tacomas with turbos won’t touch 250k

People have an unwarrented fear of turbos. They are more complex than a non-boosted engine but the durability of engines is about design/engineering and not whether it is NA or boosted. Betting against Toyota/Lexus durability is a suckers bet which is not to say they can't engineer a "bad" engine it is simply they are statistically the least likely to do so.

The Ridgeline is an excellent pickup (not a truck technically). It can easily handle what most full sized truck buyers actually put their trucks through.

Yeah I love mine

I don't have any need to tow anything or do anything that a full size truck does so it's perfect for me

I have a 1987 Nissan Hardbody Desert Runner only 1,000 were built with 952,000 miles on it. Actually retired it from a daily driver with 450,000 miles.
Just could not destroy the truck.
I made this truck into a true 4x4 off-road truck, which I ran off-road in the desert racing it. Destroyed the collectors valve. I bought it to be a 4x4 and not a collectors item.
It was built in Smyrna, TN.

2018 Nissan frontier 4x4 4.0 V6 2nd gen lifted.
Still got a lot of life as it is a proven platform.
Probably built in Canton, MS.

They tried but couldn’t find one running after 5 years.

I have two trucks.
A 2021 Ram 1500. Have around 35k on it, so far so good, love the interior and the ride

I have a 96 Nissan “hardbody” I bought in 1999. It had 27k on it when I bought it then for 8500.. has 280k now and is doing fine…

A great thing about Ridgelines is, they are made in Alabama by NON-UNION baws and bawettes!

Ford & Rams made by union POS's.
GM's made by union or Mexicans.

1997 era Ford Ranger had 4cyl XLT 4x4 limited edition sold in California. Bought in Jan 1997 from a guy who bought it, and decided it was way underpowered for $15,500 with 750 miles.

I used it as a daily driver.
325,000 miles sold it.
My only complaint was changing the $85 timing belt. 6 hour job. Did that 4 times. Change your fluids which were easy. Changed from Ford to aftermarket u-joints which had grease zerk’s. Really had no issues except signal switch box around steering wheel changed once.
Gas mileage wise it was a great truck. Cheap on tires.
Speed wise it was a dog.

Guys in the 4x4 club used mostly 4.0 V6.
3.0 V6 was weaker, but not a bad engine.
4.0 V6 guys blew transmissions due to heat build up in a tight area. Those trucks were a blast to drive.

It is, and a great Baw trigger

And no, I don't own one. I've had really good luck with the two F150s I've had since 2003.

Guess none of my trucks over the past 20+ years got the memo that they were supposed to shite out the trans.

I agree I only had one tranny go since the 1978.

It was a due to a bad transmission cooler / radiator all in one piece. It was on a new truck that did not make it off the lot. Dealer switched it out to a separate transmission cooler and radiator.

I am pretty consistent on changing my rear end fluid and tranny fluid & filter if applicable which probably helps.

I have a good mechanic for the work but I’ve also got to deal with my “envie” for something new. I love my truck but I’ve always wanted a full size truck with a V8 engine.

Practical me says keep the Tacoma.

Me who drives a lot and likes to LIKE what I’m driving is pushing hard for a new ride with newer features, more room and more power.

I don't ever recall seeing a set of truck nuts on a Honda Ridgeline. This cannot be a truck and most mentioned as the winners in this thread are neutered trucks.
