New Hampshire.

No income tax, clean, phenomenal education, low crime, reasonable cost of living, great healthcare, outdoor activities.

I went to Hawaii over the summer (Kauai and Oahu)

It was amazing, if I ever come into some money Hawaii will definitely be on my top places to live

Interesting, Never knew that. I know next to nothing about the Pacific Northwest and have never been anywhere near it. Hoping to visit my friend who lives in Olympia this Spring. He loves it up there.

Yeah, if you fly out of Seattle, a few minutes past Mt. Rainier everything turns brown. Same in Oregon. A few patches of high country with trees break up the brown monopoly.

You better come up with a lot of money.

I also love NH. I'm interested in the Free State Project.

Man I spent 2 weeks in Washington over the summer and I'm trying to make any excuse to go back.

Obviously

My mom and her bf went house shopping and the prices there were ridiculous. Although if they move out there it gives me an excuse to go back

Western Washington is a lot like S.E. Alaska, except it has a shite load more people and less snow. Lots of folks here have winter homes down there.

Even in the city, you're just minutes from the mountains. Bellingham is a pretty cool small city.

Nah, it somewhat lacks diversity.

I'm not sure I want to go in winter but I loved my time in Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula

Hawaii because it is awesome. I retire in 12 years. No way I retire without Hawaii. Officially bitten by the bug I guess.

That's exactly where I grew up.
45 minutes from Mt Baker (big mountain in the picture), 5 minutes from the ocean and San Juan Islands, 1 hour from Vancouver and 1.5 hours to Seattle. Plus no traffic.

I lived on Oahu for a year, way too crowded for me.

Live on the Big Island now and love it most people here hunt and fish like crazy so it reminds me a good bit of the south. Been to Maui and Kauai and those would be some gorgeous places to live as well

Yeah, I did a recruiting trip to WWU last year. Spent 3 days in town, liked it.

There isn't a better place between July and mid September. The Olympic Peninsula is probably my favorite area. I did an internship there for a summer in college and loved it.

Honolulu was basically Miami until you got out of the city. Diamond Head was pretty awesome.

Spent time on Lake Quinault and Lake Crescent -- Lake Crescent still doesn't seem real, it's incredibly beautiful -- and then went up to Port Ludlow and Port Townsend before leaving, went whale watching and all that jazz, drove through Sequim to see the lavender fields.
