Best HD antenna?

Hang an old-school big antenna in your attic.

None of that small indoor crap works well unless you live 3' from the broadcast tower.

Follow the advise on the Tech board thread. Type of antenna is a function of distance from the towers.

I use a Mohu Leaf as a backup to U-Verse (and it came in handy when a construction crew cut the fiber optic line).

Read up on the various Mohu antennas to determine which is best for your location.

There are no hd antennas...."any antenna" is capable of picking up your locals that are in hd....

I have this GE Slim Flat Panel Passive Antenna and it works like a charm. I pick up 40 something channels.

It was $20 at Wal-Mart, has a small stand footprint and is flat to fit behind my TV.

ETA: I'm in the middle of a metropolitan area with all local channels broadcasting less than 10 miles from me, so if you're out in the burbs or have a local channel broadcasting for a longer distance, your experiences may vary.
