Thinking about an extended visit to an overseas country. Some I have in mind are Argentina, Russia, Greece, Turkey.
Anyone visited one of these countries or have suggestions for another one?

I would imagine that anything outside of Alabama would seem like a foreign country to you.

Depends - can you handle a third world atmosphere?

Never been to the ones you mentioned. But I will say that Jamaica is awesome. Very beautiful country, if you're into the whole tropical thing.

I'd add Singapore and Australia (perth area)

Greece, Turkey.
Did these two. They were great.
But outside of an active conflict zone and some obviously shitty places, you're going to have a good time in whichever country you go to. The "newess" factor makes it an adventure regardless.

This. Over the past year I've gone to Yellowstone for the first time and went on 2 cross-country road trips through 19 states.
Definitely appreciate the beauty of this country a lot more now. That said, I will be flying from now on

Nope, lived in Tuscaloosa, Pensacola FL, Amarillo TX, Fort Worth Tx. Visited all of the southern states, the Rockies, Appalachians, most of the Midwest and took a trip to California. Im probably missing some cool stuff in the US but I want to visit overseas
