My birthday is on or around Thanksgiving every year and the day after my sister's. Growing up, I either got leatover birthday cake or pumpkin pie with a candle in it.
I don't like pumpkin pie.

In a wild coincidence, Metallica, my favorite band at the time and to this day, played at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum the day I turned 21-years-of-age. We got hammered in the parking lot before what was a killer show on the "Load" tour in 1996. The stars really aligned for me, that day.

The one where everyone let me be and didn't say happy birthday. So that makes none of them the best so far. I am over 30 years old, it has been just another day since I turned 21.

Went to my 19th birthday party at my girlfriends house and when I knocked on the door this gorgeous girl opened the door wearing a pair of my torn up jeans and and a white AC-DC tank top that I had left at my girlfriends house and I fell head over heels. I am telling you absolutely smitten!..... Yep I married her 6 month's after that! About to celebrate 35 years and still smitten. I am one lucky sob!..... So in essence life is good. Went to see my girlfriend and met my wife!

i would say that's mine, but my wife seems to not like the idea.
i've at least convinced her to let me set the terms of my own birthday in my late 30s.
it's actually next friday and i'll take the day off of work (kids are out for fall break anyways) and i'll start a brisket early, go for a run, start a pot of beans middle of the afternoon, have beer, add some ribs or chicken to the smoker, drink some beer, make some smoked mac and cheese, fill a cooler with beer and drinks for the kids, and whoever she invites is welcome to come over and eat my food and drink my drinks or they can not come and not eat my food and drink my drinks.
if they do come, i'd like them to be gone by 9 and to get laid.

However old I was in 2015. Was in Nashville for NRA Convention. Got to see Jeff Foxworthy and Alan Jackson at Bridgestone Arena.
