Behind the scenes of the Taliban

I never have seen a look at the enemy like this. This for whatever reason is kinda journalism I like. Video is YouTube and kinda long but thought some might find it interesting. No I'm not anti America or pro Taliban. Just a link I saw and thought it was different and you kinda grasp their view of things.
Warning that it does show them shooting at I believe an American convoy. Life there in Afghanistan has to really suck.
Eta: This particular video was posted on February of 2014, not sure exactly how old it is though.

Its Youtube and not a pro Taliban video. Just a life behind the scenes of the Taliban. I was hesitant to post and hoping this doesn't offend any Veterans that fought there. As I said, its not a pro Taliban video.

I'll admit, I have never thought of them as fellow humans.. as cruel as that sounds... so this was interesting. Thanks for the link.

Appreciate the share. It's amazing how the coalition hasn't smashed them yet. They are so basic in both their tactics and their lifestyle.

Granted, I am not an Afghan vet, but I would have killed small animals to see a video like this about Al Qaeda Iraq, the Jaish al Mahdi, or some other dipsh!t militia that saw fit to try to put holes in our bodies and sever limbs. It's a pretty fascinating insight, and every little bit you know about your enemy helps. Ignorance of the enemy is for knuckle draggers.

Those people have such a skewed view of the world and their holy war. It's a tragedy however that innocent children are caught in the cross fire.

I wouldn't necessarily say pride in country - more like pride in tribe or valley or whatever minuscule scope their worldview covers. They don't particularly care for Tajiks or Uzbeks or Hazaras and may well cut off their heads just as readily as they'd cut off an Americans.
I also thought it was interesting that this group called themselves Taliban. More well-versed Afghan vets can correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought the fighters in places like Nuristan or Nangarhar or Kunar or wherever didn't really think of themselves as Taliban...it was just more of a relationship of convenience.
