I'm growing a sweet beard right now but it looks a little gruff and feels pretty rough. I've bee applying beard oil the past few days but it isn't softening much. For those that have grown beards what are some tips for getting and maintaining a manly yet soft beard. Soft for the ladies.

I always use some fancy conditioner made for women's hair. Works like a charm. Add some manly scented beard oil to make it look better groomed and smell less girly.

Semen works great. Just rub semen all in your beard.

Not somebody else's semen, it has to be yours. The DNA has to match.
Typical rookie mistake.

I just use regular conditioner, keeps it pretty soft.

What do you expect growing pubes on your face. They're just not soft.

You certainly don't need all of these products, but Honest Amish makes some quality stuff and a good brush is a must IMO.

Just wash it with the same shampoo/conditioner you use on your hair. Mine is soft as a baby bunny.

The scratchy feeling will go away after a short while.

Shampoo and conditioner, then beard oil, brush.
The beard oil made a huge difference in mine.
Before I started using the bead oil I would leave the conditioner in overnight every couple days.

I use my wife's fancy pantsy conditioner and leave it in the entire shower before lightly washing it off and a beard brush after drying.:

Shave it off. Quit doing what everyone else is doing just to fit in.

I hate that duck dynasty made beards cool.

Coworker: "downshift are you trying to look like the duck dynasty people or something?"

Downshift: "no. I'm trying to have a beard"

Or it could be he's just tired of shaving. I have a problem with razor burn and it just gets old having to deal with it. I much prefer having a beard.

Dude. Don't put any shite on your beard. It will get soft after you've had it for a few weeks/months. Be patient.

That's it. Suddenly millions of 20 and early 30 somethings have decided that razor burn is too much and they've simultaneously stopped shaving. Lucky for them all of these cool vintage looking accoutrements have made it to market at the exact same time.
