Heading into Baton Rouge, on the north side of the bridge, what are the two white sphere tanks there?
Had a discussion about it and everyone noticed that it seems that the popped up immediately out of the blue. Just curious as to what they are for...

Wood pellets that will be shipped overseas. Europe has a mandate that calls for a certain percentage of biomass for utility usage. These pellets are sold at above US market prices because of EU subsides. Essentially, European tax payers funding European companies to buy our forestry stock and raising the cost of this biomass to US biomass users.

same as selling Keystone oil to India/China would do to US energy costs.

Not sure if India/China are subsidizing private industry/utilities oil cost. The price of pulp wood has risen in some parts of the country, where the pellet mills are located from an average of $24/ton to above $40/ton. Think what this does to other industries that use this wood for other purposes. In some cases it makes them not competitive in their markets.
