Not even close.
BR is the heart of redneck country. Restaurant choices have been dismal for a long time. BR dining has numerically more choices since a handful of establishments from NOLA got chased out by Katrina and a few others tuned into chains and moved in, and these may seem exciting compared to what was there before, but poboys on bad bread, pretentious bistros and recycled Bourbon St. ain't Cajun or Yat.

ETA will admit that Tony's is great.

Tony's Seafood's boudin balls are terrible. Ronny's are far better.

Ronnie's has the best boudin in BR. I get dirty looks when I bring it to Lafayette, but it's good boudin.

I wouldn't dare try anything 'cajun' in BR I've had 'catered' boiled crawfish 3 times in the last 3 years. And they all were a disgrace.

Oh..,,they weren't steamed in an ice chest with seasoning sprinkled on?

Besides, creole is better than Cajun.

And if you don't believe that you don't know what boiled crawfish are supposed to be.

Ypu are typically a respected poster, but my a-hole the day after I eat crawfish boiled at home likepy tastes better than Tonys on their best day.

To be fair, I think that stat is what Tony's claims to boil on Good Friday. And he is incredibly busy on Good Friay.

For Tonys to reach that number every single citizen in BR would have to buy over a pound a week from them

Actually they weren't...they were mush..

But I can't say anything TOO bad about LIGHTLY sprinkling Swamp Dust on them...I do it and they taste great.
