They're back
The Baton Rouge Cicada
After 13 years the noisy SOB's are all over this morning. Guess the rain drove them out the ground.
I expect we will hear the loud arse mating humm in the next few days. So much for a peaceful evening.

The black ones with red eyes come out every 13 yrs. the regular ones come out every 7 years.

A little humm is good, I remember the 13 year Baton Rouge breed being loud as shite. At least around my house. Maybe due to all the oak trees in my yard. They are everywhere in my backyard this morning.
