I'm not a tax expert but if you are receiving a mileage reimbursement above the federal level, you cannot deduct vehicle expenses for business use.

Look at Texas Direct Auto. I'm not 100% sure about their story but they have really good Google reviews.

Hell yea man. Those things are like gold brother because the ones that are loaded and have low miles still start with a 4.

Think about this. Most Denali Yukons have started in the $63-$67k range over the last 4 years.

Well for 2015 GMC just came out with a new model Yukon and the store I work at just ordered one that is going to MSRP for $78,000k

That's fricking stupid, but I'll guarantee you we sell it, if not the first day we have it, then the second day.

What do you mean by everything?

TT&L plus dealer fees or whatever else. Yes bankruptcy but I actually just looked at my credit report and it will drop off my credit report in May of this year. I actually had all the credit issues close to 7 years ago but it's been hard to build credit with the bankruptcy. I have zero derogatory accounts.

It's a different company and I'm a consultant so I get a day rate and get paid .75 a mile instead of a salary and a truck.

What the guy above me said. I know my brothers get a mile per diem and they can't write their autos off because of that.....

Still think you would be better off buying something more practical...until your credit improves and you can get a lower interest rate. But I and everyone else that is offering sound financial advice is wasting their time

Enjoy the truck and pissing away extra money to get it.

Have you priced your insurance yet for a 50k vehicle?

If you've paid everything off your score should be higher than 600 unless you've got like 20 negative marks still there. Still don't think you need the truck but if you are hell bent on buying it, save $35k more over the next 6-8 months and call it a day

I have several things that were in my bankruptcy that are showing on my credit report so I'm going to dispute them. That should help.

Man you never know. You might have a shot with that kind of equity.

I would try and get your financing down to under $30k though. You have a lot better chance of getting that done then $35k. JMO.

I know right!

I couldn't believe that shite when I saw it.

But of course I want one, but will never ever buy one for that kind of money.

There are ways around it. I know about 10 people who get mileage and write off their vehicles including my brother and a few close friends. I will have this truck paid for in most likely close to a year. I have done nothing but pay cash for things the last few years. That's part of the reason my credit hasn't came back up. I have made ALL payments on rent and other bills on time for several years now.

Like I said though. You need to go to a big arse dealership that has a lot of buying power in your area. You'll have a lot better shot.

Also, don't dick around when you go to the dealership. Tell them straight up what you'll buy the truck for, how much you're putting down and how much you want to finance and see if they can get you bought. You'll find out real quickly whether they can or can't. If they can't you'll know in minutes. If they can, or have a shot at it, then be prepared to stick around for a while.

Your credit gives zero fricks about this unless it's a credit account. Wait until May when your score should surge with the bankruptcy coming off.

Then keep being responsible and build from there. If you have no credit cards you should get one after May to help build your credit

This is why I'm perfectly happy not making a lot of money. No urge to buy things I don't need. I'll take my $45k/year and my one credit card that has a $500 limit and be happy

For one I don't have a vehicle at all right now and don't want to buy one now and pay tt&l just to buy another in a couple of months and pay tt&l again on a new one for taxes. I will for sure pay it off quick. Part of the reason for getting it is to build my credit to build a house.

Lol I've put in hard work and been in the right place at the right time.

And I just looked, you can only depreciate $11,600/yr on the vehicle.

So you're better off buying a 15k used vehicle and depreciating the $3000 or so a year that the IRS allows.

But you shouldn't be able to do both since you are receiving a mileage reimbursement for business use above the federal level.
