There's a boy in my son's class named Anakin. And yes, he's named after my former self.

Let me guess the normal names are Aiden, Haden, Jaden, McKenzie, Ella, Bella? Sounding about right?
You forgot Greyson, Jaxson, Declan, Avery, Addison, Parker, and Hadley

100% correct. My child has a very traditional name and people appear to be confused when I say it. As if my child would somehow be more normal if his name was Jace or Kason.

Schoen should be pronounced "Shane" as anyone from New Orleans would know. Though I don't know why anyone would name their kid after a funeral home.

Aren't all names trendy at one point?

At the DMV last week, observed a white teenaged mother with her baby girl named Diamond. She kept saying the name Diamond loudly and often -no pronouns. Girlfriend was really proud of that name.
Poor little baby's life trajectory, if not already ruined by a trashy family, was set the minute she was named Diamond.

In fact, I'd name my boys Tom I, Tom II and Tom III.
And then when they all have kids, they'll all be Uncle toms?
And, BTW, everything you said is backwards arse ignorant.

I take offense at that. It is one of my great hopes that coloreds--or Negroes or whatever they call themselves nowadays--will awaken to the folly of pseudo-Africanism (represented by the hideous foreign names in the original post), and embrace the Americanism that I, and so many right-thinking Caucasians, envision for them.
For example, if I were a Negro father of three young boys, I'd give them normal American names. Like … well, like Tom, that's a good one.
In fact, I'd name my boys Tom I, Tom II and Tom III.
Now--what could make an American Negro family prouder than having a family of Toms?
If you have read the above, I can only hope that you now comprehend the benevolence and good will of my feelings toward our ebon brothers and sisters.
Kindly direct your insults elsewhere.
Dude, what the frick

Better is a relative term. In general, you are correct but there are extremes everywhere. In public, we have the do nothing parent. In private, we get the helicopter parents. Each produce worthless adults.
