It seems common in Louisiana, and maybe the south in general, to get married in your early 20s. I think that's pretty old fashioned and on its way out in the near future.

That being said, it frightens me how many folks are in a HUGE rush just to lock things down and get married. Then you run into the issue where people are engaged for a month and a week later they announce that they are having a kid. Frightening I tell you.

I think it's a confidence issue with the guy if he is all worried that a female has lived her life like a grown adult. People have sex.
