Got talked into babysitting this spoiled rotten, neurotic, attention-starved, furball, lap dog for someone.

This dog is full blown neurotic just like her owners but here's the main issue. She always acts like she's starving to death. She's still a puppy and her owners feed her all this specialty dry food.

I decided to feed her some good food. Been giving her pizza, scrambled eggs, cheeseburger, chicken strips, chicken gumbo with rice, beans and rice and she's loves it!

Owners asked me to keep her on a strict diet but it feels like animal abuse to me. I don't think this "specialty" dog food she's getting is worth a crap.

Anyway, is this a crappy thing to do? She seems awfully happy now.

We are strict about not giving our dogs people food; I would be pissed if I found out they were getting that crap from a dogsitter

Yes it is a crappy thing to do especially with a puppy. They feed it special dry food for a reason. It's not your dog.

You do realize that there are many foods that humans eat that can make dogs really sick?

Just make sure you let the dog sleep on your bed tonight.

I've raised a lot of dogs and always fed them table scraps. Never hurt any of them.

Yeah, but it's a puppy and it's not your dog. And you gave the thing pizza and chicken strips. It's not like you just gave it a little scrap of turkey or something.

You don't want this. You want reassurance.

Might have a food allergy. Of course he will love the food.

I'm giving her very small portions and she's eating her regular dog food. She just seems to be in a better mood now.

Good thought for a troll thread but execution is lacking. 3/10.

At least let the owners know what you gave her so that if she does get sick, they can let the vet know the types of foods she ate.
